My Dear Friend,
This is a message for you. A message in a bottle. We only talk occasionally, but I hold you in my heart always. I can hear the frustration in your voice - the pain of unfulfilled desires. How difficult it is for you to live only in the past - reconstructed memory of past glory. For my part, I feel I’ve been of very little help to you. I’m sorry.
I wish you could see who you really are - and have always been. I wish you could see how beautiful your life truly is. I believe religion has taken you down a dead end alley of disappointment. You are never going to find the truth living out of the same old dead paradigms. To change a paradigm is a very big thing - but not impossible.
Often we change when the suffering has become more than we can bear. Maybe your paradigm shift will happen through rainbows and puppy dogs - but I doubt that will be your path. When you’ve suffered enough you will change. I got to a point in my own journey where I said, “I can’t go on like this any longer, I need a new life!” My suffering had become acute.
I was willing to listen - I was willing to change - I needed to change.
I’m not trying to fix you. I’m trying through our conversations to show you another path. This life is not meant to be complicated - the answer is simple. But until we are willing to change the simplicity will elude us. The answer is right in front of you but you are not yet ready to entertain that answer.
So we will continue as dear friends. My hope is, you will let go of past fantasies and see who you really are right now. There is such beauty and wonder in this life, your story is not over, but the door to your desires is not the door you continue to frequent.
My friend - I love you - and hope you can begin to love yourself,
Marcus
Wow that was really beautiful. Captured and said so well, I could read that on a regular basis.
